Science fun

We are learning to predict and explain what is happening during our science experiments.

On Friday my class did some cool science.We did Magic milk,the salt volcano and crawling colours my favourite was magic milk because it looked cool and it was very interesting.On magic milk the First thing we had to do was get a bowl and Whaea Deb or Yvette will put some milk into the bowl.Next they put some food colouring into the milk then it was our turn to put a kabarb stick with dish washer liquid into the milk. Then something really cool happened the colours went every were and the 3 colours turned into one colour.

After we did magic milk we did crawling colours that was my 3rd favourite.First Whaea Deb got 4 people to do the crawling colours.When I looked at the stuff I saw 7 cups,tissue paper and some food colouring. Secondly Whaea deb put water in 4 of the cups.Then the 4 boys folded the tissue paper 4 times and put them in between the cups.Then they put food colouring and it toke 30 minutes to mix the colours.

Coopers Beach Camp 2020

On week 3 term 4 Te Manga and Te Tinana went the Coopers Beach camp for school camp. First we had a talk about camp so we know our group,what were doing first and were we are sleeping. Me Koda and Alani slept in the same place. I loved all the activities at camp!

Raranga Matihiko - Waitangi Visit

2 weeks ago on Monday we went to Waitangi for the 2nd time.

We went on paint 3d ,tinker cad and sculpt gl 1st we went into pairs because we were going to share a Chromebook me and Koda  were a pair.2nd we went on sculpt gl and we made cool pou. Next we went on paint 3d to make some fish. When we were doing the fish me and Alani were a par and Alanis fish turned out really cool because something was wrong with the Chromebook. Then we looked at the videos that Whaea Keri made then we went out side to have some afternoon tea and some water and we left.

Whaea Gee has been in our class since term 1 but only on Wednesdays.Then on term 4 she was our teacher for 2-3 weeks.I really enjoyed it with her as our teacher.She was great at it and I bet she going to be a great real teacher.

 We are learning to use visual language features to support our understanding of the ideas and information in the text.

What I enjoyed making the google drawing.Because I could be creative.I also enjoyed working with my friends and learning knew staff. 

What I found tricky was the vocab sheet because I had to find words and the meanings.

Tuia Matauranga

Yesterday on 22/10/2020 my class and Te Kauru Went to Taipa area school to see a road show and to learn about voyaging. When we got to school we did karakia and mihi then we hopped in the bus.We got to Taipa at around 9.30 am.  My class Te Manga  went in first. We had to sit on a mat and talk about the stars and to learn about them.After that we could go and do some activity's like make a waka,do our bingo sheet,put a circle sticker on the wall,take photos,learn about voyaging and the VR set. The first thing that Koda,Alani and I did was do some stuff onto our bingo sheet and while we were doing the bingo sheet we were doing some sketching and finding some information to put in the bingo sheet.Next I put a circle sticker on the wall and after that I got a scarf . The people that worked there told us to go on the mat again to have talk. Then we sang our school song.

Then we walked to the beach to have lunch.We finally got there and we sat down to have lunch.After we had lunch we went back to school.               

Sailing the Pacific

 We are learning about traditional sailing and navigation methods used by early Polynesian voyagers.

the think that I really enjoyed was doing the google slide and looking in a different site to find facts.
