My person

My dad has dark, short, straight, rough hair and patches of grey around his gigantic and floppy ears, With dark green eyes and his smile is huge with black fine eyebrows. He has sparkling white teeth that make a massive shiny smile.   a nose as enormous as an elephant.  Arms are humongous and muscly that can touch the sky. He has hairy legs with big feet.  His left leg has a big scar from getting cut by a chainsaw. My dad is as brave as a lion.

My favourite time that I have spent with my dad is when we went to the Waitangi bike track. We went up big hulls and I did a huge drift and my dad was the only one who saw it.  Me and my dad went on the level 3 track and my dad got confused cause we were going the wrong way.

Speeches

Hi, my name is Zana and I'm going to be telling you why my cat Mittens is an important part of my family.  Mittens is 9 years old with green eyes and we call him Mittens because he's black with white mittens. We've had him for 5 years. Mittens is a male cat.  He's also really silly like when I scrunch up a piece of paper and throw it at him he attacks it like it's a mouse.  Mittens always hides in dark places like under the cars and under the house.  Once he got stuck in my dad's shed for about 3 days.  Mittens is not at all quiet.  But once when we took him to the vets he was so loud.

Mittens sleeps on my bed on the blankets next to me and in the middle of the night I heard a weird sound and I realised it was Mittens massaging the blankets while purring. He also sleeps in mum's room on a dark red soft cushion. He also sleeps outside and in the morning he meows louder than the rooster next door.  In the morning I see him stretching on the door to come in.

Mittens is a fussy eater so he won’t eat steak, lamb or pork so we feed him cat biscuits.  He also looks at the eels and waits for an opportunity to catch one.  We also give him meat with jelly looking stuff in it but he only eats the jelly stuff.  He will also catch baby mice and if we are away for long enough he will catch birds. When he finishes his food he always meows for more.

Sometimes mittens play’s tag with me but when I'm in he just comes to me.  He also goes on his back and if I don’t rub his tummy he hits me with his paw.   Mittens also hops on the tramp with me and he doesn’t let me do anything on the tramp apart from doing stuff for him.

Mothers day

WALT: Write a Mothers Day letter

I think my mum should be chosen because she helps

me when I'm stuck.  Every day when I get home she

makes yum as dinner and takes me to netball.  She

lets me do anything at home, and she cheers me

up when I'm sad.  My Mum is also really kind, she’s

always there when I need her.  She gives me ideas

for my learning all the time.  Mum is always there to

support me and she takes me to my friends house.

when it rains

 When it rains

It drips,

It floods,

It falls,

It puddles,

It soaks birds trying to get back

to their nests to protect their babies and eggs

It splashes me when

I make rain when I'm crying my eyes out, while throwing a tantrum.

water fun day

heres my writing of the water fun day

Recount of our Water fun day.

Yesterday me and the girls in my class dashed to the changing room to get

into our togs for our water fun afternoon at our school.  We got changed

really quick so I could race into line for Mrs Radich to give instructions.

I was so excited because we have never done this before.  Mrs Radidich

told us to “bring your towel!”  and Mrs Bryden told us not to.

The first thing we did was the first water slide.

I went down on my tummy.  A little later loads of

little kids came in line. Then Koda told me and Alani that

“There were more activities to do.”  Then I replied that Alani

moaned “but there's prickles.”  So we left and the next activity

was one that I didn’t go on so I played with Lucy , Lucy excitedly

told me “This is so fun!”  Koda and Alani finished on the blue tunnel.

Whaea Deb showed us photos of people going down the tunnel.  The faces they

made were funny Me , Kaydee , Lucy , Koda and Alani sped to the other slippery

water slide.  It was so amazing.  At last we skipped to the freezing cold pool where

there were balls to play with.  Koda mumbled “to sit on the balls!”  So we did Alani

and I hopped out to play with the bubbles , Samson kept on squirting me and Alani so

we blew bubbles at him.  Then me , Koda and Alani dashed to the water slide and

skipped around the field.  We were just about to wash in the pool and I complained

“everyone is packing up.”  So we wash in the sprinkler.  Afterwards we rushed to the Te Kauru bathroom to get changed

into our warm clothes. Mihi cried “I forgot my shorts can someone

get them?”  Me and Koda giggled, “We would get them.”  When

all the girls came back inside we talked about the day.Reflection

I loved the pool because we could play with the balls and water guns.

The next thing I liked was   water slides because you dash so fast and you got all soapy.

My last favourite is the sprinklers because you could run in them and have fun. I will love to do it again.
