What did I think was amazing that climate change is when the temperature is hot and the ice malts.

What did I think was yuck and gross As earth's temperature rises,more permafrost melts,exposing the remains of dead animals.

Here's what I learnt wall reading the book when you run it is good for your leg muscles.I also learnt what avoid,dodge,recover, dehydrated,efficient,supply,release and fatigue means.

The Plastic Free Challenge

WALT find out some of the causes, effects, and solutions for plastic pollution.

Me and my reading group have been learning to use less plastic.We read the text in the book then we made a google slide about using less plastic.In the google slide we had to add a picture and made it into a link.

Here's what I did well make the google slide and do the writing.Here's what was tricky for me under standing the text in the book.The thing that was interesting for me was how much sea creators that have died of the plastic.The way I can extend my self next time is try to use less plastic.

first we found Interesting and tricky words to Increase our vocabulary.the 2nd thing We were skimming and scanning for 5 interesting facts about wasps.

following the life cycle was tricky for me because the arrows were hard to following.reading the text was easy for me because most of the hard words I recognised from some where else.

TIPS TO CONSERVE WATER'

WALT  how to conserve water.The drought is affecting  the far north the most.If you have noticed that there is a drought then you would know why the grass is yellow and not green.

A-Z Water Conservation

We are learning about the drought in the Far North and how we can conserve water.

We need to use water carefully here's an A-Z. In the A-Z there are key words that relate to water conservation.We got the information from a pamphlet-brochure from the Northland Regional Council.

Waitangi Day

WALT about Waitangi Day. 

We go to the Te Manga class site to learn about Waitangi and we have done activities like Kahoot, word searches, a reading CLOZE activity and a poster. I made my poster using google drawing.

1. Ha'amonga was built over 1000 years ago.
2. People say that Ha'amonga was the gateway to King Tu'itatui's house.
3. The Ha'amonga is three stones which represents the Kings children. The two brothers are on the sides and hold up the top stone which is the sister.
