I am a Year 5 student at Paparore School School in Northland, New Zealand. Mrs Junjovich is my teacher. My blog is a collection of my work at various stages, across different curriculum areas. Throughout my time at Paparore School I may share draft copies of my work for feedback and feed forward. Other times I will share my final published pieces. I would appreciate any feedback through leaving me a positive, thoughtful, helpful comment. Thank you

My class and Te Tinana went to see the new lion king movie. At 9.00 o clock we jumped on the bus and we started to head off. Some of the animals were Myfasa, Shenzi, Timon, Ed, Pumba and simba. The girls had a head band that looked like a lion. When we got there we walked in to the movie centre. Then we sat down on the carpet while we were waiting for our food. When we got in to the place were the movie was I sat down on a chaer but when the movie started there were so so so so so much ads.

Wonderful Sentences
I have been learning how to copy and paste from our class writing flip charts to share our learning. I know how to insert bullet points and use the highlighting tool.
We know that wonderful sentences need:
- Detail (elaboration)
- Capital letters and full stops
- Punctuation (, ! ? “ “)
- Quality vocab - WOW words
WALT recognise different parts of speech.
- Nouns are naming words. Eg. chair, book, July, Awhi
- Adjectives describe nouns. Eg. wooden chair, writing book, freezing July, lovely Awhi
- Verbs are doing words. Eg run, walk, jump, skip, chew
- Adverbs describe verbs. Eg. briskly running, slowly walking, jumping high, skipping, happily and chewing noisily.

Tuna Kuwharuwharu (Longfin Eel)
This term we have been learning all about the longfin eel.
Our assembly item was based on the story Velvet and Elvis. This was a story about the migration journey that the long fin eel takes.
Click here to view our Te Manga class blog Assembly post
I created 3 different digital learning objects on this topic. The first is a poster that I created in my topic book about the challenges to the long fin eel. Whaea Deb took a photo of my poster.

I also made a google poster to share five interesting fact about the longfin eel.

My Wonderful Reading Video - The Tame Eels of Anatoki by Angie Belcher
When I was videoing myself I felt excited because I have done it before. I learnt how to embed a video into my blog.
A quality blog post needs a title, writing about my learning and a DLO (digital learning object).

Next we went on to Scratch. On Scratch we put our sprite on our
screen. Next we put our background on to our screen next we did
a number math's thing.We had to sort out the card's to 1 to 50.
Alani Kaydee and I were a team.We came 2nd then we had lunch.
After that we did a kahoot. Me and Alani were a team we came 3rd.
I thought it was amazing when I figrd out I came 3rd.We were going to win until whaea deb and the love girls came 2nd and 1st. I said Yay we came 3rd.When we were going back to school I was sad I thought I was never going there agen.
